My paintings grow out of fluid art and abstract techniques, sometimes from an intention, sometimes from nothing at all. The beginning is always the same: an empty mind and an empty canvas. I also carve stone and bone, and in the past I made many sculptures.
Everything I create begins in a meditative state. From that stillness I look at what wants to emerge, sometimes with an intention, sometimes without. Fluid art and abstract techniques, acrylic on canvas, or work in clay, stone or bone. The invisible takes shape through my hands, not through my head.
“Creativity is the silence
that gives itself a voice.”
I also paint on commission. Each work is unique and grows out of a conversation: not from a concept, but from a shared intention or question.
