Who is responsible?
Martijn Vlamings is responsible for the processing of personal data on martijnvlamings.nl. Questions about privacy can be sent to info@martijnvlamings.nl.
The contact form
When you use the contact form, I process your name, email address, subject and message. I use these details only to answer your question. Your message arrives in my inbox, and you receive an automatic confirmation by email.
- I keep your message for as long as our correspondence requires, and delete it afterwards.
- I do not share your details with anyone and do not use them for newsletters or marketing.
- To limit abuse, the server keeps track of how often a message is sent from the same IP address (at most five per hour). The IP address is stored only in hashed form for this purpose.
hCaptcha
The contact form uses hCaptcha (Intuition Machines, Inc.) to tell real visitors apart from spam bots. To do so, hCaptcha processes data such as your IP address and information about your browser. This happens only on the contact page, based on my legitimate interest in protecting the site and my inbox against abuse.
Cookies
This site does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. It uses only functional cookies, which do not require consent:
- lang: remembers your language choice (NL or EN). It is set only when you click the language switcher yourself, and is kept for one year.
- PHPSESSID: a session cookie that is set only when you send the contact form, so that the thank-you page can show your message. It disappears when you close your browser.
- hCaptcha: may use technically necessary cookies or local storage on the contact page for the spam check.
Embedded video
The Qigong page contains a video from Vimeo. It is embedded with the Do Not Track setting, so Vimeo does not set tracking cookies. When the video loads, Vimeo does receive technical data such as your IP address.
Hosting and fonts
The fonts are loaded from this server, not from Google or any other external service. As with any website, the hosting provider keeps server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.
Links to other sites
This site contains links to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
Your rights
You can always ask me which of your details I hold, and have them corrected or deleted. Just send an email to info@martijnvlamings.nl. If you disagree with how I handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
